Cookie Policy

Last updated: June 4, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, which cookies Educere uses, and how you can control them. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.

What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored in your browser when you visit a website. They serve various purposes: keeping you logged in, remembering your preferences, understanding how you use a site, and enabling advertising. Cookies can be "session" cookies (deleted when you close your browser) or "persistent" cookies (remain until they expire or you delete them).

In addition to traditional cookies, some services use similar technologies like localStorage (browser storage) and pixel tags. This policy covers all such technologies.

Essential Cookies

Essential cookies are required for the site to function correctly. These include your cookie consent preference and locally-stored game scores. You cannot opt out of essential cookies while using the site, but they do not track you across other sites and no personal data is collected.

Analytics Cookies

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use Educere — which games are most popular, how long people play, and where visitors come from (country/city level only). This data is anonymized and aggregated. We cannot identify individual visitors from analytics data.

You can opt out of analytics cookies by declining them in our cookie banner, or by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Advertising Cookies

Google AdSense uses cookies to serve relevant advertisements. These cookies may track your browsing behavior across websites that participate in Google's advertising network. The revenue from these ads allows us to offer Educere for free.

You can opt out of personalized advertising in two ways:

  • Decline advertising cookies in our cookie consent banner when you first visit.
  • Visit Google's Ad Settings to opt out of personalized Google ads across all sites.
  • Visit aboutads.info to opt out of interest-based advertising from multiple networks.

If you decline advertising cookies, you will still see ads on Educere — they will just not be personalized based on your browsing history.

Managing Cookies in Your Browser

You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Here are links to cookie management instructions for common browsers:

  • Google Chrome
  • Mozilla Firefox
  • Apple Safari
  • Microsoft Edge

Note: deleting cookies will reset your cookie consent preference and locally stored game scores.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy as we add new features or as our service providers change. Material updates will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above.
