By accessing or using Educere (educere.app), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1. Description of Service

Educere provides free interactive educational games (word searches, crosswords, quizzes, flashcards, and match-up games) and study guides across subjects including science, math, history, geography, language arts, and economics. The service is available at no charge and does not require account registration.

2. Permitted Use

You may use Educere for personal, non-commercial educational purposes. Students, teachers, and parents are welcome to use our games and study guides freely. Permitted uses include:

  • Playing games individually for personal learning.
  • Using games in a classroom setting.
  • Sharing links to individual games or guides.
  • Printing study guide content for personal educational use.

3. Prohibited Use

You may not:

  • Copy, reproduce, or republish substantial portions of our encyclopedia content without permission.
  • Use automated tools (scrapers, bots) to access the site at scale.
  • Attempt to circumvent or interfere with our advertising systems.
  • Use the site for any commercial purpose without our written consent.
  • Misrepresent Educere content as your own original work.

4. Intellectual Property

All content on Educere — including encyclopedia text, game engines, CSS, JavaScript, and design elements — is the intellectual property of Educere and is protected by copyright. The underlying game mechanics and code are proprietary. Educational concepts and facts are, of course, in the public domain — our expression and organization of them is what is protected.

5. Educational Content Accuracy

We make every effort to ensure the accuracy of our encyclopedia content and quiz questions. However, educational content is subject to ongoing scholarly revision, and we cannot guarantee that all information is current or error-free at all times. Educere content is intended as a supplement to — not a replacement for — formal education and authoritative textbooks.

If you identify an error, please let us know and we will correct it promptly.

6. Advertising

Educere displays Google AdSense advertisements to fund the free operation of the platform. Ad placements are disclosed by "Advertisement" labels. We do not control which specific ads appear, but we have configured our AdSense account to block categories inappropriate for an educational audience.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

Educere is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the site.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Educere shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of the site, including but not limited to reliance on the accuracy of educational content.

9. Links to Third-Party Sites

Our study guides may link to external educational resources. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or privacy practices of third-party websites.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the applicable jurisdiction. Disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation before resorting to legal action.
